Well it's been a strange journey so far. I have two wonderful kids. My daughter is in graduate schools. My son is at college in the east . I'm very proud of my children but the last 24 years of my life have been dedicated to mom-ing, I am still adjusting to their being gone. That's the paradox of parenting, you love them and enjoy them but the goal is for them to become happily independent. I'm pretty much starting over at this point after a business failure and hoping to do a better job of it than I have so far. I still love to read and sew and enjoy playing with tools. After starting off studying weaving at ACC my senor year at Heritage, I gave that up a few years later. Got a degree in drafting and studied Industrial Construction Management at CSU. Didn't finish that degree but that's a long, weird, story. Spent a few years out of state a couple times but couldn't stand it for more than two years at a time and had to come home. Don't think I'll do that again (the leaving, not the coming back, if I don't leave, I don't have to come back. All three of my sisters are in state. My parents moved to CA 3 years after I graduated, my mother died of cancer there less than a year later. I have had a great stepmom for many years ...Expand for more
